Preamble:
Large Corporates the world over are showing increased interest in engaging themselves in helping social causes by earmarking a part of their profits for social activities and charities. The basic idea behind this move is to help those deprived sections of society and at the same time show the entity’s commitment to involving the society in which the Corporates world has strived and grown. In this era of economic liberalization and globalization where the industries are grown by leaps and bounds, there is an increasing awareness among leading Corporates and the Governments that the fruit of this economic boom hasn’t reached a large section of the society. Hence there is a talk about inclusive growth by Governments, Economic Experts and the Corporates et-al. The government is trying its best to ensure economic development to reach a wide spectrum of the society.

As part of our efforts in Corporate Social Responsibility, we have set up a Fund to extend timely help to an employee or his close family members in the event of an emergency where the employee may not be in a position to meet the financial requirement on his/her own. We have decided to put in place an institutional mechanism whereby we could constitute a fund by taking voluntary contributions from employees and an equal contribution from the Management so that we will be in a position to extend a helping hand to an employee in the event of any unforeseen problems, be it health related, fatal accidents or chronic illness. Thus Agappe Chairman’s Relief Fund was launched in February 2008.

Who gets the assistance?

	To begin with, the financial assistance will be extended in the following circumstances: a. Am employee or his close family members (dependents) suffering from a major illness requiring huge medical     expenses i.e. Heart Surgery, Cancer, major operations, etc. b. Fatal accidents, untimely death, etc. c. Huge damage to property due to fire, natural calamities, etc.
	When the fund crosses a certain level, the financial assistance will be extended to outsiders also who belongs to the manufacturing location of our Company as part of the strategy in helping the society.
	Cash Award to toppers of Class X and XII of the nearby Government Schools. In the case of Class XII, the cash award will be given to toppers from all the branches/subjects.

Enhancing the Scope of the Activities:
In future when sufficient fund is available, the scope of the activities will be increased to the following areas:

	Providing financial assistance in the form of cash or in kind to nearby Orphanage where the less fortunate children’s are living. This could include food, provision, clothes, text books, etc. as may be discussed and decided by the Action Committee.
	Medical Assistance to needy persons. To include Hospitals like Medical Mission where treatment will be provided by the Hospital for sponsored patients whose bill will be directly settled by Agappe with the Hospital (limit could be set for each case on merit).
	Conducting of regular medical camps. Providing of Specs to poor people aged above 60 (senior citizens). Providing funds to extremely poor families for the marriage of their daughters from the nearby localities.
	Taking active part in protecting the environment by joining hands with local self government institutions and/or reputed NGOs and undertaking projects like planting greens, protecting and maintaining fragile eco systems, educating society about global warming, etc.
